About the event
It's not too late to start a garden! I recommend using the "no till" method which is quick, easy, and low-maintenance because there's no digging involved and very little weeding. Plus it's a great way to use up that pile of cardboard boxes you've been collecting from home delivery!
In this free webinar, I'll show you how to get started, share a materials list, and give you some recommendations for plants. I'll also talk about veganic (vegan organic) growing methods - which means no chemical fertilizers, pesticides, or herbicides, and no animal by products like manure, fish, blood & bone meal - and techniques for enriching the soil.
I've incorporated native perennials that attract beneficial insects, medicinal & culinary herbs, and annual flowers and vegetables. In just 3 months my garden has produced peas, radishes, arugula, collard, kale, strawberries, beets, and turnips, and the beans, squash, and tomatoes are on their way.
I'll also tell you about the #FoodIsFree Project which this garden supports.
